The reason I ask is that I see guys running $6000 Zs and some running $15000 Zs, and I have to ask, do you make more with that $15000 Z? Is the total cost of ownership less?

I'm studying accounting right now and am learning about contra-assets. Accumulated depreciation and depreciation expense are very important to keep track of for tax purposes. Do you depreciate your equipment a certain amount each year with a view to replacing that equipment in a set time frame? I know some guys run their equipment into the ground and some trade out frequently to stay in warranty.

Do you allot a certain percentage of revenue for equipment maintenance and replacement?

I mean, I see power/speed/productivity advantages to the higher $$$ Zs, but I'm just curious how to justify the money spent.

My primary z cost me 15 k with a collection system . It has a ground speed of 15 mph thus added productivity and its Efi engine allows 1/2 gph fuel savings. Next mower I won't go quite as many options but still will buy new
