Disability insurance who has it?

Do you have Disability ins on yourself in case something happens and you can no longer work? I have had a small amount on myself since I went to work for myself many years ago. I was just curious who all carries it and how much you carry if so.

I have a disability policy with a 2 month deductible. Like any policy, you have to read the policy and know what you are buying. If you're self-employed, a policy is a good idea in my opinion...never know what can happen.

I had a disability with my health insurance but I was dropped. I have a genetic heart defect. Apparently health insurance companies only want to sell health insurance to healthy people that won't use it.

It's a for profit industry so I understand. Just sucks that they dropped me after paying premiums all those years. Had my life insurance with the same company and they dropped me too.

Still have some basic health coverage through the VA. Thank you tax payers. Also have workmans comp on myself.
