Location of full model number Kawasaki FC420V

Where do I find the full model number with the four or five number suffix on my Kawasaki FC420V engine? One emissions label says it was manufactured in 5/96. I want to be sure to get the right replacement parts. Is it under the engine shroud? I've looked pretty thoroughly on the outside. Thanks for any help.

There should be a white bar code label affixed to the engine block, Could be on either side but in the same area as shown below.
