I use a floor jack with a arm I made to lift the mower at the frame. Yes I use a jack stand for safety while under the deck.

I just drive one front tire on the lift gate to the trailer so the other side is hanging off. Unless the lift gate collapses this method is perfectly safe since the rear tires are chocked.

I myself would feel alot safer working under there knowing those boards were pressure-treated 2x8's not 2x6's; or at least they both had some type of permanent grit embedded into them to help prevent (possibly damp) caster wheels from sliding from side-to-side.

Just some safety food for thought. :waving:

The only problem with building this ramp is....you got it store it and it takes up space. Simply use a floor jack and put it under the front of the deck it won't hurt anything. Sometimes you have to use a piece of 2x4 to reaise the deck up a little to get the floor jack under...Best way is running up on the ramp and let it over hang.

I use an engine hoist & wrap it around the frame.
