how much psi is needed to blow out 300 ft of 1/2" rubber hose?

Or aprox. air compressor size needed.

I used to do this before I had a shop and I want to say it was around 20 psi. Do not hold me to it, but that is the number that comes to mind. What I did was hook up the air compressor to the tank and turn the supply hose from the tank off and slowly increase the pressure till I got a good flow of liquid coming out of the end and stopped. Of course I only had to do this every once in awhile because of the weather in Alabama.

It has nothing to do with psi, its the volume of air needed to fill the space and displace the fluid. :waving:

We crank our 30 gallon air compressor up to 100 psi....way more than enough to blow the lines clean (use rubber tip for a nice fit). With our ride-on's, we empty out the liquid - then put in two gallons of RV anti-freeze, and run it through a little bit 'til the antifreeze comes through. Our warehouse is 60,000 cubic feet, so we don't spend the money to heat it. But we do store our ride-on's in a heated garage just cuz they are pricey machines.
