this is what i traded the 820 in for. Its a Z925, 27hp with 60 inch deck. 820 ran strong till 280 hours then serious motor problems starting occuring. So much warranty work was done and the problem was never cured so i got rid of it at 350hrs before leaf season started so i could have something reliable. I put a few hours on it and a world of difference it is already.

JD split the trade in price with me....so I lost $1500 to get a 900 series but I made sure I dont get screwed again by them....my dealer def fought for me I think but the JD rep was an azzhole from what I hear

well all of a sudden it just started backfiring when i would go to full throttle, then when i kicked the deck on it would stall out and sputter and maybe take 3-5 minutes to get to full speed. they had replaced everything that had to do with fuel delivery and the next step was tearing it down to look at the valves. They probably had my mower for 5 weeks all summer and they were dumbfounded over the thing the whole time.

Go complain to your JD dealer. Its the hydros, not enough guys are complaining yet so JD headquarters isn't giving a shyt about the guys with 800 series.
Way I see it, is they should pay me and my guys to fix all my lawns from JD ruts.
I will make my own thread about this. Sorry for hijacking.

i would have to agree. they are more money and you pay for the name. i have scag and exmark fleets and they are the best quality cuts and diffidently the most cost effective. the car looks like a z06 vet

the stuff in the driveway and is topcoated in the shed is called roadmix around here, not sure of the size, its pretty small. its what they use around here when they tar and chip the country roads. the stuff inside the shed is about 3/4 to 1 inch in size. It was suppose to be concrete but we ran into problems trying to get it poured.

We have a scag and grasshopper dealer nearby, but neither are of any good help. The JD dealer is good with customer support and we have been there for years picking up parts for the farm so thats why we went with them.
I wish i had a z06 in there, hopefully in the future.

here a few from when i first got it and then with the plow. i bought the truck last january. its not fully loaded put it has close to everything power everything, and plow prep.
next year i hope to add an aluminum dump insert, and by winter it will have either hideaways or a mini lightbar.

if you plan on doing the dump insert def do the hideaways.....the insert will really block the lightbar and the strobes/hideaways give a really good 4 corner visibility....
also get a leveling kit for the truck and a set of timbrins!!! that thing SAGS BAD with the plow!!!

just put the timbrens on today, i think its just the angle of the pic it only sagged 2 inches with the plow up. the front was already 3 inches lower then back.

Thanks, I will look into that, mine was also supposed to be a concrete slab, but the budget won and I need to find something less expensive. By the way, nice equipment also.

blm, do you use that side gate on your trailer much? any pros and cons of it? thanks
I use it quite abit especially when i get to my small residental places where i just need the 21. pro would be not having to take the ztr of when not needed, i can put a skid of block on the front easier and then put stone or mulch in the back at the same time. con would be that i think it needs to be at least 5ft tall because it is steep and gets slippery when wet and i dont know if i could get a walkbehind off of it without some problems. Overall i think i will also get a trailer with one, because it makes life easier, but im gonna make sure its at least 5ft.
Sweet set up, everything looks great. Garage too. How are you liking the extreme trimmer racks?

thanks. the racks are great, its sure nice to not have to unload them out of the truck at the end of the day. i dont know how i did without them before now when i haul debris in the truck i dont have to move them.

Question for you... why did you cut the grass so low? Would it not have been easier to raise the deck and get through the grass easier? You could have lowered the deck on the next cut. Just wondering
