I am a lawn idiot. Thought I can apply any winterizer until I purchased ACE TURF WINTERIZER WEED & FEED and read the fine lines. The location is central Jersey.

Can someone tell me what grass I have?

Here are pics of the grass:

On the back of ACE TURF WINTERIZER WEED & FEED, it excludes carpet grass, dichondra, ornamentals containing clovers.

It is ok with Kentucky bluegrass, fescues, bermudagrass, bahiagrass, buffalograss, zoysiagrass, Augustinegrass, centipedegrass.

By the way, can I mix this winterizer with seeds?

Thanks a lot.

Looks like tall fescue to me.

The fertilizer will be fine. The coarser blades are tall fescue. The picture isn't close-up enough for me to be sure, but it is likely bluegrass or a thinner bladed variety of tall fescue. Definitely not dichondra or carpet grass.

it looks like mainly fescue to me too, and that's typical for jersey. You should be fine.

My suggestion though...look at hiring a professional. A lot of times it won't cost much more than buying the ace fertilizer, and you will be getting better products applied. It would'nt hurt to get an estimate.
