He are my first pics of my attempt to stripe. I use an exmark 36" with a chain kit.

not bad ,takes while to get them cut in right . also the position of the sun
has a lot to do with how well they show up. good luck.
ps allow for the offset of the deck ,if your mower has one.at first i was just lining up the castors on both sides with the edge. something just didnt look rite:D

Just using singles right now. Bought some new exmark hi-lift blades. I just need to get them sharpened then will try to run doubles. Then will post more pics to see if there is a difference.

are you running a mulch kit, bagging or side discharging? what type of grass was it? default deck pitch?

i also run a 36 metro with a mulch kit and no other type of accessories. here is a pic of some zoysia i cut. this was from the first time i cut it. pic isn't as good as the actual look.

running the OEM mulching blades also.

It is fescue/bluegrass mix. I was side discharging @ 3-1/2 inches with front 1/4" lowered.

Try high lift double blades. Youll have more luck.
