What are you guys charging for just mowing?
Price per acre?
Discount for more than X amount of acres?
I am putting together a business plan and need to get an idea of the pricing structure around my area.
North East Pa...
Thanks

To get an idea of of pricing structure in your area, know this...YOUR AREA is right on the top of your office desk (or kitchen table, or wherever else you conduct your usiness).
Now, what I mean by this...NO one can give you a price structure for yourself. In business, the key is - you have to start at the other end of the spectrum. In other words, instead of getting an off the cuff price, going out and doing it for that, and seeing if you make money or not, you go to the other end, figure up all your costs and expenses - and I mean ALL your costs and expenses. Only then can you possibly know what you have to ask to do any given task. Trust me, there are so many variables, that it can't even be put into one post here. On one hand, lower overhead allows you to do some things perhaps a bit cheaper, on the other hand, there are large companies that can do things so cheap that you couldn't TOUCH their prices.
The good news...There are MANY many threads on here having to do with figuring costs, expenses, knowing how to figure gross, net, and gross profit margin required to sustain and achieve a profit (everyone's is different). Do some searching, using the search feature, and you will come out an educated man for it.
Or,...you can just show you want the easy way out with a reply with something like "I just wanted to get an idea around here so I have an idea on what to charge".
We always know the difference between those who are serious about it, and the top floatersby heir replies, though. Those that just want to "break in to the lawn cuttin' business" usually don't last long,...Those that want to learn how to own and run a business, do. Good luck with it!
