How does the seeder attachment work on the z plugger. We do lots of aerations around Charlotte. Will this unit work in the red clay, and get a good stand of grass. Do you still aerate before you use the slit seeder?

I have a Z Plugger. I haven't seen anyone on here ever discussion the slicer/seeder attachment. I've had a couple of slit seeders. The Lawn Solutions (walkbehind) slit seeder is really good. Trying to cut deep groves in hard dry red dirt, just burns the blades up. I'd be curious to see if anyone has a Zseeder, and what they think of it.

Thanks, I do have a First Products AE 40 that does a good job aeravating. We sometimes spread the seed then aeravate it in, but am concerned that when I go over the same area several times, I have the seed too deep. I was thinking on hard ground I would aeravate then slit seed, to get the seed at the right depth.

On sparse areas. I aerate, and then slit seed with a Lawn Solutions, walkbehind seeder. They now make one 30" wide. Probably the best bang for the buck.

Thanks, I have looked up the Lawn Solutions walk behind seeder. These do look like a good piece of equipment, and would do the job for us.

How expensive are the Lawn solution seeders??

They are $3,500 for the 9-hp model. This is what we sell to LCOs for 90% of their seeding jobs. We also have larger units as well.

We are going to be showing a new model at the EXPO next week. 24" wide, sulky, 14 hp, etc.... $3,900.

We also have our 30" unit as well.
