OK, so 180 of you guy's have read my message about improving the Hustler WB. However, basically no one had any comments, including the moderator. Hmmmmm. What gives??? Is everyone way ahead of me and has changed tires for a better and faster cut??? Has everyone added an adjustable speed control already, too?? Maybe the machine is OK the way it is, but why not upgrade the machine to make more money with less effort??
I'm sure some of us can walk at 5 mph, but I can't, and I'm sure I don't want chance twisting too much throttle while trimming 1" away from a row of "Malibu patio lights". Also, I find it hard hold a "consistent" mowing speed, especially on a very bumpy lawn, with the stock speed setup. At the very least, without some sort of speed detent, most operators begin slowing down during a long straight away. And, there is always a few seconds after each zero turn pass, that the operator must "jockey" the H bar to get a comfortable mowing speed. Along these lines, by the fact that no one has put a 25 Kaw on a 54 WB speaks for itself. I'm only 150 lb., but I'm already down on power when I come out of turn and try to go full speed.
So, maybe someone can help me understand, am I behind the "8 ball", or do most of you guy's just leave "well enough" alone? This is not a trick question, but rather my attempt to understand how to truly make the Hustler WB a better machine, since it easily can be.
Thanks for your time,
Pete
