I just purchased a TL140 and I already have a bunch of attachments that I use with my JD 250 skidsteer. The Takeuchi and JD use different oil for their hydraulics....

The Takeuchi uses convential oil instead of hydraulic oil.

The question I have is do you think this will cause issues if I switch my attachments between the two loaders?

I'm concerned about damaging my pumps and implements.

Thanks

I would not worry about it. I do not on my TL140

If it bothers you just drain the attachments.

Thanks...I'm more concerned about my John Deere that requires hydraulic fluid.

I would like to use the implements on both....

Just not sure it's safe.

How old is your 250? My '07 CT322 uses JD Plus 50 oil for engine and hydraulic. Call WI Clark.

I would be concerned about cross contaminating the oils.... you'd be best served to contact john deere and see if there is any seals/internal parts in their systems that require the hydraulic fluid. If not, then I'd change the fluid in the deere to match the tak. Sometimes in different systems there may be specific brass or copper parts that require the different additives in the hydraulic fluid, additives that are usually not present in a regular motor oil. I'm not saying that in this specific case it's true, but do your due dilligence and check it out thoroughly. In the case of your tak, it specs engine oil so away you go. Another concern is if you operate in extreme cold/hot weather.... the cross contamination could result in a mixed fluid that may not have the properties you need.....
