Any advice on using the new "Extended life" coolants in my Cub and Kubota diesel tractors?
Prestone and Havoline are at least two companies providing them but I am unsure if you have to have a special engine and radiator. These seem to be impressive products.
Any guidance will be appreciated.

Castrol also make a good colant called RadiCool. You should be able to run a glycol based coolant in most liquid cooled motor.

Be sure to fully drain the old out. Some of the extended coolants don't bond well with conventional types and will gum up. I know a guy with a mechanic shop that owns a very expensive piece of equipment to get the solid out of motors when people add regular coolant to a new vehicle with the extended coolant in it. Says it isn't pretty.

In my Diesel Ford trucks we are not allowed to use extended life coolants. They make some diesel specifiic coolant for the trucks. Do not know if this applys to the tractors as well. You might check with the manufacturer as well.
