special attatch for sharp gator blades?? (rbg)

i'm going to order a rbg grinder soon and i don't undersstand why they need a special attatchment to sharpen mulching blaces (gators)

The mulching plate for the RBG is not for gators. Its for the mulching blades that have a bend though the cutting edge.
