Ok, my first attempt at a logo. Its not finished yet but need someone else to look at it, ive been looking at it so long im not sure if I like it anymore. Any tips or modifications/ reworks are welcome. Thanks in advance! BTW Before anyone asks. Services include mowing, spring/fall cleanups, fence row cleanup/removal, drainage ditch cleanup/digout, property cleanup and hauling services, just about anything you would want hauled off, tore down, cleaned up or mowed will be on the dockett.

It has no "IT" factor to it. Here's what I'd change:

1) Color - Use contrasting colors to make it pop
2) Font - That cursive is hard to read IMO
3) Tag Line - Shorten it up "Custom Property Service", "Property Service Specialist", "Property Maintenance & Hauling"

That's where I'd start. btw...where's your phone # going to be located on that? Maybe list a web site as well if you have one.

ur on the right track though......

Different that is for sure. Are you happy with it? Do you feel that this is going to be something your customers will remember? Do not over think this. Keep it simple, clean. Looks pretty dark too. Those are just my opinions, they do not really mean a lot, what matters is what you think, you have to live with it, and of course pay for it to go on your equipment - LOL

Thanks for the reply. I started out thinking property service specialist but ended up typing what you see. As far as colors go what is grey here will be a silver/chrome color. What kind of colors do you think? I have one where everything green is red and one where everything green is silver/grey. I used the cursive so it would look classy, Every other font i tried looked too kindergarden I thought. Any ideas on which style would still look professional? Sorry for the questions, just trying to make this right. Oh and phone goes in black box below green banner with slogan.

I snagged the background from one of those design your logo free sites then manipulated it with mylogomaker and paint.

If so desired, the business name isnt set in stone yet either. I spent days thinking and jotting things down as they came to me, I just kinda fell onto this as a blanket name for all that will be offered. Does it sound good? Or should I go back to the drawing board?

It really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks...you have to go with what ever you feel is right for you. Best thing to start out with is how you want to 1) Market yourself 2) How you want to establish Brand Recognition/Identity.

For me I want my logo to stand out when ppl see it. I don't care if they have no idea what I/we do, or provide, I just want them to remember seeing it. So when they see a piece of marketing material they go, "Hey....I've seen them around b4, so this is what they do."

It does matter what people think. Many guy's can live with leaving clumbs in a lawn but that dont make it good. The biggiest problem I see with people logo is clarity. Even truck wraps. You drop 3 grand on a wrap and cant read it 2 cars back. A person needs to be able to clearly see what it say's from their house, know what you do, and how to contact you. Try adding a .com to it and make it your web site.

ms office publisher. Took me 15-20 min to slap that together. The thin gray text boxes are there cuz I saved it as a rough draft, that normally wouldn't be there.

Good luck with it..........

Pay for one, they do not cost that much. Do some Google searches, there are tons of great ones out there that are already done, just add you name. You want a logo that will stand the test of time.
