View Full Version : Works better in the fall Simazine or Atrazine?

Just wondering if anyone has experience with either of these. I have used simazine for the last couple years, but have heard atrazine is pretty good to. Any advice?

Atrazine moves in the soil more readily than simazine. For this reason great care must be taken when spraying around ornamental trees and shrubs, especially dogwoods and azaleas. These seem to be easiy affected by atrazine. If using Atrazine in the Spring you must take great care not to spray it too late(at green up.) I have seen lawns(bermudas) TG has laid waste to by spraying when they should probably have stopped spraying it a couple of weeks prior. When using Atrazine, do not take chances your checkbook can't pay for...

You got that right Ted, be sure to spray it when the wind is 5 mph or less and if you can use a shower head gun.
