I have a Ferris 52" with a kaw 15 twin. I just added gators on top of the stock high lifts(doubles) now the problem is that the rpms on the engine don't seem to be high enough to not bog down the mower. This mower is new this year. I just picked up another Ferris with a 17 hp kaw but haven't put gators on that yet to see if it is just a hp issue. Is there any way to turn up the rpms just a little on the 15 twin? Thanks for the help. Joel
First you have to find out what your RPM's are now! Do you have a Tiny Tach on the mower? You shouldn't be any higher than 3750 RPM Free load. Don't mess with the govoner until you have a tach on it!

I think that the 15 horse kawi is a little under powered
to run doubles on a 52'' deck. I have a 17 horse on a
48'' and the rpms slow some when i run doubles on it.

Personally I wouldn't run doubles if I could hear and feel my machine stressing. It is my little honey baby. However, I found this thread recently that may help you.Thread about how to adjust a Kawasaki governor for higher RPMs (http://http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29647)

I'm having trouble testing the above link. If you do too, just go to machanic and repair forum and look for it. It's still near the top.
