We'll be there on the the 27th; anyone for lunch on Saturday/Sunday? Any locals want to join? We've got Inspired & Hoss so far. Hey AZ Gardener, want to come? I like that old time Mexican joint on Gendale Ave, "La Perla", nice and dark.

Mr. Leary, if you have time you have to swing down south to Tucson for some Sonoran Hot Dogs. El Guero Canelo is the place to get them. Trust me, it will be worth your time - you won't be disappointed. They also have some top notch carne asada burritos! If you are there, make a day of it and take the tram tour at Sabino Canyon, beautiful place to take in a stroll and a little desert education.

2480 N. Oracle Road...just a few minutes off I-10.

We'll be coming through Tucson next Friday, prolly stay at Catalina SP. Food and drink always interest me, since I'm getting too old for much else. Are you in Tucson? Send me a pm, maybe we could have a get together out at Catalina.

Sent you a PM...you could also hit Lil' Abners on the North side of town out west off of Cortaro Farms road....awesome mesquite fired steaks cooked over a huge open mesquite pit. Look for the Rain Bird logo on the wall going into the bar, remnants of a crazy night from my past life.

Thanks, you're making me hungry and it's almost bed time for this old sailor of the asphalt sea.

Bummer man. My knee has been worse than usual lately. Really don't want to get it looked at and told surgery is needed. Then I would miss the Rockies ski/snowboard trip. As well as my New Zealand trip.

It did not happen to me for some reason, but I've sure know a ton of guys in our trade that have had knee problems. Bummer!

I had to look up Sonoran Hot Dog, and I came across this interesting page on hot dog variations around the world...

Going down to drunken auntie's for thanksgiving, prolly no wi-fi until we get to Tucson. How does Sunday, the 29th around 12:30 sound? There is parking behind La Perla. The joint is off 60, northwest corner on Glendale. Hope to see you all. M

Actually, the mo/ho runs very sweet and requires very little wrenching, but I carry tools and can do most minor stuff.

mike,

unless you're doing the install yourself, this might be a good time to have a compression test done.

some motors test from the injector port, some from the glow plug port so when i have to do a replacement i also do a test.
