We were setting some granite fence post the other day. Using skid steer and pallet forks & load straps, worked but I was thinking if there was a better, faster, safer way.
Do you know of any grapple, tongs, scissors tool, something in the line of 2 point of contact, really not looking for a mechanical device? But one that uses the weight of the material you are lifting?
Also will be used on large stone, block etc. Any links or brand name would be great thanks.

look for something like the old ice tongs. I use forestry tongs for pulling brush. As you pull on the ring, the tongs tighten. There are larger ones that are used for setting jersey blocks, concrete pilings, etc.

Funny enough, we sold an S130 to a customer and we installed that very attachment for him. It is pretty funny to look at but he was using it to handle rolls of oil absorbent in factories so it has worked well for that at least.
To the initial poster, we sell THE BEAK by Daniel Manufacturing. You can google it and check it out. It may be more than you are looking for but we have had a great response to it from out customers. That is the only thing that I can think of at the moment.

I bought one of those probst clamps that a lot of paver and brick yards use.. I did a big job where i had to lift 1000 lb blue sleight about 25' in the air. This tool works amazing. I had it on my s330 as well for the smaller parts of the wall i hooked it up on my forks..
