When with the weed killer?

I am in Michigan with cool weather and lots rain. A general fertilizer was applied 5 weeks ago and now customer wants weed killer sprayed on. There is indication of potential weed problems and I was wondering what kind or "brand" is usually applied and when it is most desirable to do this. Also,then when would you apply any more fert?

You can treat for weeds anytime the targeted species is actively growing. Or about now. Are you a commercial licensed applicator? What types of weeds are present?
