Hey guys, been looking at the Ferris 32 hydrocut for a while now and for the amount of lawns i do i think i might just go with a nice 21 inch. so if i do this what brand and model should i go with? here in Canada mowers cost a heck of a lot more than in the states so I'm looking at around 800-1500 for the average commercial 21". also I'm not just looking for the best price or even overall machine specs. I'm looking for the BEST cut, quality next, dealer support, and then price.
Thanks guys,
Matt

Here you go in 26 inch or 21 inch I would go with this over the ferris.

Stick with a 21" mower. I had the Exmark 26". Terrible machine. It bagged well but had no power for mulching and the amount of mechanical issues was insane. Eventually, I got it replaced for an Exmark 21". This has been a fantastic machine. Going with a toro, exmark, or honda would be an excellent choice.

I couldn't tell you about any 21 or 26 inch I just seen them before at the dealer. I wouldn't use anything that can't pull me or I can't stand or sit on.

yeah thanks i was leaning towards a toro from my local dealer right now i use a toro and it does a great job just starting to show some wear and figured beter to replace now rather than in the middle of the season and have to get used to a new mower.

Right now I would probably get an exmark 21 or toro commercial 21.

If I wanted to wait a little longer I would wait for the deere commercial 21 to come out (the new one).

Is the new commercial deere gonna be better than the homeowner models? I heard they had horrible wheels/bearings or something like that that broke in a few months.

If you're in CAN then I assume you have a fair amount of rain, like we do here down in OR. NOTHING (in the 21" market) bags wet grass as good as a Honda. Nothing. There are another 10 reasons I use Hondas too. But that's reason enough.

in my opinion the deere is by far the best 21"...we currenly have a commercial honda that "replaced" our old deere's, it's a good machine but it's hard to handle, it's way too long so we went back to our deeres even though they are old and worn down...deere has the best cut and maneuvers the best, no complaints in wet grass...only thing we use the honda for is leaves, it has dual blades that chop them up very nicely, BUT it makes mowing grass more difficult, terrible in wet grass....don't know much about toro or exmark but have heard good things about the exmark...my vote is wait for the deere next year
