Will a Grade 2 bolt (.75-10 x 4 3/4) be strong enough to be used to attach the front axle to the frame of a 20G 4-wheel tractor? (the bolt is known as a wheel axle with grease fitting in the McMaster-Carr catalog and would make greasing the front axle pivot area much easier.)
I plan on mounting a 48" snow blower to the front and do not want a bolt failure.
Thank you.

If you are replacing the front axle pivot point, use the same size bolt that came out. I used to own a 816 gravely, and like all Gravelys, it had the hidden grease fitting, on that pivot point. What I ended up doing was to get the same sized bolt, drill a 1/8"channel through the bolt head, tap the end for a 1/4-28 grease fitting, and drilled another hole, perpendicular to the center, at the middle of the bolt, so the grease would come out in the middle of the sleeve. You might also want to weld a flat plate to the end of the bolt, to keep the grease outflow hole pointed straight up, as that way, the grease will be flowing downward, with gravity, to lube the joint. If McMaster Carr has one that fits your criteria, then that's way easier!
