Contract quesion

For you experienced guys here, what different lengths of contracts do you offer clients and what is your most popular length of contract?

sorry, I meant length in terms of yearly or during the growing season (which around here would be march-november).

All of mine have always been 12 month contracts.

Standard is 12 months at 52 visits. I can make it for as many weeks as they like but it's still 12 months

we very seldomly use contracts but the ones we do have are for 2 years.

fert/pest - march thru november

In your location, you should provide them with a 12 month agreement. After you complete a full year and you pursue renewing the contract, you may want to consider offering multi-year agreements. Typically you will sacrifice some of the annual increases that you would like to pick-up, but in today's tough economic and competitive climate, you may want to opt for security instead of CLI's. I doesn't mean you can't ask for an increase, but usually you have to give some concession for the multi-year. Two or even three years works well.
