Hey everyone,

Just recently found this site while researching a new zero turn and would greatly appreciate any advice. I am mowing 2 lots (mine and my mom's) with a size of approximately 3 acres. Hers is flat with maybe 6 trees mine has a slight slope and no trees. Durability, dealer support, cut quality and of course $$ are my main concerns. I'm looking to stay around $6500 before taxes so I have narrowed my choices to Ferris IS1500 48" for 6500 otd, Snapper Pro S200 61" 25hp Kawasaki for $6995 before tax or 61" 27hp Kohler for $6700 before tax, Snapper Pro S150 52" 27hp Kohler $6500 before taxes and a Kubota ZG222 48" 22hp Kubota $6800 before taxes. All seem to have about the same dealer support from what I can tell. I was impressed with the build quality of the Snapper Pro S200 and the Kubota the most. Is a 61" deck overkill for what I'll be using it for? Kawasaki vs Kohler? The Kubota was very nice and by sight alone seemed to be the best built. Open to suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I bought a ZG222 from Tyler brothers about 2 months ago and love it. I was debating between the ZG222 and the Scag. It mows like a dream and stripes great. I have posted some pictures of the stripes on here just search kubota stripes. I looked at alot of different mowers and in my opinion the kubota looked more beefier. The dealer in Knoxville priced my one at $6800 for a older build date machine. I paid $7100 plus tax from Tyler Brothers for one made with a build date of 09/09.
