Hi,

So I have a question about the exmark air filters; I had recently had my brand new turf tracer 19 hp stolen from me the day i bought it and as a result had to just go buy a cheaper used one after that since i did not have insurance set up on the other one yet =(... but my question is the used one has an older 19 hp kaw on it with the crappy air filter and i was wondering if you can somehow install the new system on this older engine.. it is a 2007 engine.. this old air filter is absolutely horrible and i cant stand it. thanks for any help

Make sure you call eXmark and inform them your mower was stolen in case someone tries to claim warranty issues (you can then catch them). Give them the serial number (and offer them copies of your purchase invoice if possible).

that is a good idea... i called the dealer and informed them but i will also call Exmark themselves.. thank you for the advice

You're welcome. The dealer is responsible for getting the unit registered with eXmark, but I'd call eXmark myself and be sure they know about it...and you should be sure you prove to them you bought it, no one else. I'd also tell any dealer in a certain radius of your area in case the bastard tries to take it somewhere for service and so on. It's a toss-up as to whether a dealer would bother to write down your info and check mowers that came in, but it's worth a shot.

Anyway, are you talking about installing something like one of these? http://www.cumminsfiltration.com/pdfs/product_lit/americas_brochures/LT32624.pdf

I imagine you could probably retrofit...but I don't know for sure the answer to your question. Maybe someone else does.

Did your new mower have the Donaldson system? If so. you might check kawasaki's website and see if that kit is available for your unit.

If the "old" mower has the 19 hp kai series then you should be able to get the donaldson kit for it through your dealer or kawasaki.
