When are the best times and conditions to use doubles?:D :D :D Seriously though, I don't believe we've covered this specifically.

What's up Vibe Ray? In answer to your post, ALL THE TIME!!! Double Gators, double Hi-Lifts, one Gator and one Hi-Lift or even a Gator and a Raptor (teeth face opposite way) Oh yeah!:D

places i dont use doubles would be areas where turbulance will damage new areas. also in dry conditions where dust get to be a problem. of course u can just cut the rpm and leave the doubles on .
with doubles ive learned there is a potential of damage in certain conditions.
