I'm hoping santa will come early for me too, but right now it's not looking. Hopefully he has an extra deere with him that he can drop off.

Nice machine. I love mine. I have never figured out why some machines have the cowling and others don't. It seems to depend on the part of the country you're in.

Yea, I always hate to get them dirty for the first time. I was that way with my STT, even though it was used-it was still clean! I waited about two months until I used it-kept using the 61". I'd turn on the radio in the garage and just daydream and stare!!!!!My wife says I have problems!!!!!.....NOOOOOOOOOOO

I understand man. Every time I go in my garage I like to sit and stare at mine too. People who dont have the tractor bug just dont get it.

JohnyBravo,
What cowling are you talking about???
I mowed one yard with it this week (my parents) and i was very impressed how well it striped at the end of the season.. I debated on whether or not i need to spend $400 on the striper but i think it will enhance the already strong stripe it produces...

CTmower - how does the 29 Kawi feel on power to you? I demoed a 29 HP Kawi powered Scag TT and it seemed a little under powered. I think the one I demoed was not set up right.

The cowling that sits on top of the radiator and engine. My STT has one but all STT's have one. I think they look better and more stream lined with them. The air filter is in a different spot on mine which would prevent me from putting one on. It also protects the engine somewhat. I have an 08' and have seen some in different parts of the country with them but around here they are naked. The diesels are the only ones with them.

I definitely dont feel that this machine is under powered what so ever but I really havent put it to the test yet and Im coming from a 25hp Kawi on a Ferris so the 29HP feels more powerful no matter what.. I guess the only thing that will make it feel less powerful is when i put the bagger on.

My mower has plenty of power but I only side discharge. It seems the people who consider them underpowered are either mulching or bagging.
