Bought a Protero,Inc Leaf Collection setup for a wright stander. Paid Protero directly in New Hope ,Mn., 1575.00..When they weren't able to deliver,I received a refund. This was on Nov. 18..The check is still worthless and Bob the owner is still jerking me around with " no money " excuses. Now, I'm forced to file with the District Attorney. Just a heads up for those considering a purchase.

Email him a copy of this link...so he knows that you are letting others know about their lack of desire to refund your money.

Mrgreen3,
I also ordered one for my Farris z2000 60inch that was 65 days ago. Bob gave me a lot of broken promises. So today He said it is on the truck. He gave me a tracking # as well WE WILL SEE??. I have 90 days from the time I paid for it, that my credit card company will dispute matters for money retuned back to my account.
I will keep you up to date on this action.

I'd be going back there with a baseball bat.

The Chilehead Revenge Program (legal version 1.0): Contact the Investigative reporting teams at all of your local news stations/newspapers. Raise hell with them about this company. Tell them that you are going to formally boycott (set a date and time), and follow through with it. I would also file a small claim for failure to deliver product/money as promised and for consequential damages (I am sure you can find some) as a result of this company's negligence.

get with BBB.
send certified letters
tape phone calls, even if you just leave a message
also wondering if you can you charge them interest for borrowing your money?

I'm in MN also and thanks for the heads up. keep your cool too.

Two things. The original thread was last dated in December by a guy with 34 posts. He may have well gotten his money by now and moved on.

With THAT said, I had bought a Protero last fall as well, and the impeller blew up on it.

I called them and they said it would be 2 months, as they were having problems getting parts. This was at the beginning of leaf season.

THEN I realized I was using a Kubota housing, and I needed a Kubota impeller. I was able to get one from Kubota, but I was still quite peeved with Protero that the wouldn't have something like that in stock.

LOL...Update! Today the trucking company called and said they will be delivering the Protero PV18 to my company on the 12th so that will be 2 days from today. Bob told me that the delay was do to he had to lay off employees and now is short on laborers, so everything is so slow in the building process. That is my updated info so far.

Unloaded my Protero PV 18 off the truck yesterday, I almost have it put together.
I really like it so far. It looks well built. So far, so good.

I have been buying Proteros for years. They are slow in getting things out but, they have a great product. Just got off the phone with Bob. He will be sending out my 6th PV18 container. I love them. They are well built, You dump from the seat, and it carries 14 bushels. Whats better then that!!

I have the old style blower on my 15bu dump. JUNK. the bearings fell appart, the hose is shot. maybe the new one is better, but the dealer I bought it from won't deal with this company any more because it would take over a month to get any parts for the thing. I spent $2500 of my hard earned money, plus $500 to fix the damn thing and it was only used for fall clean-ups 3 seasons. maybe 200 hr's.

Bob told me the old style blower had a lot of problems and the new style is completely different. He is correct. On the Potero link you can see the old styled engineered blower that is no longer manufactured. Now when Bob sells you a blower with the PV18 container it is a new style.
I just wonder what company makes the new blowers. Do they make them? Or do they have a different company make them for Protero? In time I will let you know what I think of the new blowers as I put more hrs on it in this spring clean up. And as far as the container, I love them as well.

I am not crazy for the new blower. It looks well built but, Hustler make a great blower for there machines. I use the hustler blower with the Protero container. Great combo.

It sounds to me like this guy has gotten good at his little lying problem to cover up for shotty business practices...he had to lay off workers so your product gets here waaaaaaaaaaaaay late for leaf season that lasts what 5, 6 weeks long? Yea frieken right. Shouldnt be selling products that HE KNOWS he has no way of producing in a timely fashion.

They do take a long time to send a unit out. I just make sure to make my order 5 weeks before I need it. It's called planning ahead. If you need one for the leaf season, order it in August or September, then you will get it on time. I know it's a pain but, it is a great product.

I do agree I used it today. It is great product.
