Posting this for a friend of mine. He has a 07 toro with 27hpdiesel and 72" deck. Mower is in great shape with right at 200 hours on it. Mower located in Georgetown ohio. It has the turbo force deck. Paid over 13,000 for the mower. Winter price is $8,200. Also has full suspension seat on it. Ive seen the mower in action and it is sweet. Im not a big fan of a 72" deck or I would own it. Its truely that good of a deal!! Nice enough that I told him he was crazy for selling it for that much. He said he just wants it gone!!

heres a few pics of the mower. Sorry mower is in a tight spot in the garage and didnt want to try to start it beings it is in the single digits today. I was informed by him today that his son lost the belt guards so that doesnt come with the mower. I was also wrong on hours but for the good. The hour meter as of today reads 164.5hrs The picture was not very clear but that is what the hour meter saids. tires look great. Like I said before, he has receipt for mower and paid over 13k for it and also has expensiver suspension seat. All it needs is the 2 deck guards and a new owner.

I assume so.... Im not sure of any other diesel motors that came on these. I could be wrong. The next time I talk to him ill make sure. I know another local fella that has a diesel toro thats an 08 and i know for sure its a kubota.

I believe there is a bigger diesel available. I think it is a Daihatsu.

Ill be darn, you were right. It is a 27hp daihatsu. Thanks!!! Be honest i didnt evan know anything about these. Ive always been a big fan of the kubota diesels. These daihatsu motors seem to be pretty good? Now Im curious.

I have demoed one and it ran smooth with nothing but power. I have not ran one long enough to give a real world opinion though!

I talked to the dealer that sold him the mower today about this motor. His honest opinion was that there was no motor on the planet that he believed to be more reliable than the kubota diesels. Said that he doesnt have any problems with the daihatsu diesels and he actually thought that pound for pound the daih. seemed to actually have a little more grunt. He said that those little kubota diesels have just proven themselves year after year and that to him is the number 1 diesel engine that comes on these. So for what thats worth to everyone he said there great motors but he prefers the kubota engines.
