Does anyone has some info, opinions or stories about these mulchers? Good , bad , or ugly? Looking at purchasing a cat 297c fully equiped, 155 hrs on both.

Thanks!

I think the MM60 used to be called the Magnum Mulcher before Bradco bought them and they introduced a secondary cooler mounted on the mulcher itself specifically for the Deere CTLs because the cooling on their machine was insufficient (I know a few are gonna howl at this, but I heard it straight from the Bradco Product Manager for this attachment). I also know that it uses a two speed motor. I only know of one guy who used one and I think he liked it.

No howling here. Why else would you totally revamp the cooling system?

Thank you for not seeing my comment as "throwing stones", but merely relaying what I had been told by the attachment OEM.

I have operated the mm60 on a CAT 272c for a couple of days. I liked the mower. It was strong but the material discharged wasn't all that small, however, subsequent passes helped. I like my FAE better for material size but the bradco has this going for it: Better visibility to what you are cutting, lower profile, more torque (at least I felt the power), and a psi guage so you can see where the attachment is bogging down.
If you are getting a good deal, I think you are picking up a tough mower. There are other tooth configurations. Not sure which ones hold up the best, though.

hope that helps.

I'd like to know if the secondary cooler restricts any flow. You need all the machine can put out to be effective in thick material or for recutting (making it look good).

I have been told that those coolers increase back pressure, which makes sense.
