I have a 4 year old 36" Scag recently put new drive belts, tires, and tranny to engine belt....today i was mowing and it sounded like it was bogging down and then just died...looked under the mower my clutch was smoking and what looks like a washer had fallen off, what does this mean?!? it is a 12.5 kaw....

when you put the new tranny to engine belt on, did you tigthen the belt as tight as it would go or did you leave a little slack it in? there should be some tension but not as tight as you can get the belt. this will cause it to burn up early.
