I have a potential customer that currently has a 8' x 12' x 3' deep rectangle liner pond. He wants to install a sitting wall about 18" around the perimeter and use another liner. This the wall will actually be close to 5' high on the inside. We will reuse all his existing equipment.

I want to consider using block walls and then waterproof. What are good options for waterproofing?

Any thoughts on pricing?

There are several pond coatings available (Koi Cote, Pond Armor, etc.). They do not work on bare concrete block. The large pores must be sealed beforehand.

These coatings are quite expensive and are labor intensive to apply. Could make the cost of the project quite high.

Why another liner? Unless the existing liner is damaged, why replace it?

Will need new liner since we're going from 3' to 5' deep, liner does not stretch very much!

I've used Pond Armor several times for redoing concrete ponds and it does work very well, just really need a well preped surface!

How are you planning on integrating the liner with the wall? Term bars?
