jx75 tranny problems

i had problems with my jx75 right tire not rolling. when i was free wheeling, the wheel would lock up. if that's not enough, the drive system is starting to not engage all the time. the mower is only 1 month old but used a lot. i took it to the shop today and the john deere tech guy said i should get 4-5 yrs out of the tranny. if not i will get a new one. is this common for the jx75 to have these problems. are these problems familiar to anyone?

I have a JX 85 which is pretty much the same mower. In like 5 years I have only put around $100 or less in maint. other than oil and filter. The JX 75 hasn't been used nearly as much and I haven't had problems with it either.
I sure like my JX mowers.

I had a similar problem with my 85 it turned out to be the cable that switches the gears was in need of replacement.
