My Palm Pilot is several years old. The battery barely holds a charge any longer, and is not replaceable. Time to find something new ...
I use the task scheduler, and the contact list for my business. The picture function is not very good, and it is hard to load and keep data files.
For other applications, some have suggested an iTouch. I use Verizon for wireless provider, and carry a flip phone. iPhone and Verizon haven't yet married, and I don't want to change providers (again, other reasons for this too).
Does anybody use an iTouch, in conjunction with a simple phone with another carrier? I would not carry the iTouch on my person, just my phone. The iTouch can be left in the truck. I've checked the Calender function on the iTouch, and perhaps it could work for a scheduler. Or, maybe there is an app that will work for this purpose. As I understand, iTouch and iPhone will run the same apps. Right, or not?
Or, is there another hardware choice for a Verizon account? I've seen advertised an HTC (?) as a "smart" device. Is it a good choice for apps that we might use in this business? That device would combine phone and apps in the same device -- maybe a better solution.
Any thoughts/experiences to share, having passed through similar decision?
