What kind of 2 cycle oil are you using if you are running different brands of equipment? say a echo trimmer a stihl backpack blower etc... Anyone using a syntheic oil?
Opti-2 Enviro Formula Smokless E-GD+
1.8 oz. (50 ml.) per gallon of fuel.
Works great! :D

I use the stihl oil at 40 to 1 good stuff.
Try searching 2cycle oil, or 50:1, etc. You will come up with MANY, MANY threads on this very subject.
I personally started using AMSOIL Synthetic 100:1 (=1 Bottle/6gal) but I mix it at like 80:1 (=1 Bottle/ 5 GAL) and all has been well. Power is up, smoke is totally gone!
i run echo 50-1 w 90 octane in poulan
ryobi,echo stihl,solo,craftsman[poulan].
to each his own ,but my 2cycle trouble stopped when i went with this combination. good mix.

Opti-2
Just like what TLS said, do some searching on it, there are many previous threads discussed about it.

Been using it for years. Also tried the Amsoil mix. They are both good.

Had great results with Echo 50 gallon jug oil.
Received Amsoil last week and look forward to comparing that.

Amsoil but a Syn. Lube can stratify when exposed to temperature changes. Also all gas is not the same. In some parts of country you get conventional gas and near the cities you get 'reformulated gas". In the summer you get low RVP gas everywere and in the winter you get high RVP gas. Go Synthetic and shake that gas can in the morning.

johnhenry,
Are you referring to the lawnboy brand of oil? Just curious.
The Amsoil I picked up was $7 per quart so for the same price of the Echo 50 you get 64 gallons at 100:1 or, uh, less at 80:1.
Man Im stupid
