I've got a magna matic balancer that was originally my grandfathers. He once told me he got it from the inventor so you know its old. Its starting to get to where it could use a new bearing. I'm wondering if they still use the same size bearing and if its even repairable?
It looks a little different than the current magna matic 1000 in the magnet area. The name plate says A J Karrels co, Port Washington. The back side has the number 2 stamped on it. Thanks.

Hello Scott

The best way for me to answer your question is to send the unit into us.
We can usually repair balancers in one day or the same day as we get it.

Very old balancers sometimes have cracked or broken magnets, or the slide is worn out. We can replace the bearings on your unit if that is the only thing that requires repair.

Ship the balancer to
Magna-Matic Corp
W4599 Cty Rd IW
Waldo WI 53093

Please include a business card or sheet with your contact information on it.

Thanks for the question
Have a happy new year
