Well folks I am selling my gravely 60'' Walkbehind. I bought as a backup at the beginning of the season and now I need to sell it to make room. Didn't use it this season at all. For the age it is actually in pretty good condition. It has a little bit of rust but not much. The mower runs great. It will be ready for sale soon. Right now I am in the process of replacing the throttle, will sharpen blades again, change fluids and clean it up a bit. The mower was given a brand new carb. at the beginning of the season.

PROS:
New carb
New throttle
Fluids Changed
Blades sharpened

CONS:
Light rust
The safety switches in the grips don't work
No sulky (but one can be mounted(it had one before))

Looking for maybe 800 but im not sure. If you guys think that is high/low let me know.

sorry for the bad pics. if anyone is interested I can pull it out for better ones.

Is it belt drive or chain? If it's belt how well does it turn/stop, does it have a reverse?

pbjunkie92

the mower handles and reacts just tha same as any other i have ever used. And yes..it does have a reverse gear.

I dont know service record from the previous owner. All I know is that the things ive done to it since i've had it and it runs well.

i dont understand if you changed the oil since you had it why is the filter so rusty

I apologize guys. Those are old pics. That was one of the things I did when I got to working on it when I bought it. As stated I put a new hicap filter on when I changed the oil and I am going to do the same before I sell it. I didnt use it too much only to do my yard a few times but I still just want to do it to make sure everythings ok.

call me crazy ......
but it looks like you took the first set of pics inside, but now you're gonna need to bring it out side?

This mower looks like it sat outside not under the cover of a tarp for a few years at the very least and the throttle that you say you replace doesn't look new to me but hay it could be.

Granted us lawn mowers aren't the sharpest tools in the shed but come on dude really .......
Ever heard the line
you cant BS a Bser?????????

haha. bs

I can see the new cable and carb. I garuntee you didnt even know there was an oil filter on that mower. I bet you drained the oil and filled it back up.

pbjunkie92

I dont understand how you think its bs? I bought it non-working and pulled it into the shed where I put a new carb..(as stated originally) on it to get it running. At that point having put almost 200 into it I took these pics because I actually thought about selling it then. However I decided to keep it. I changed the oil, put a new hicap filter on (as stated originally) and used it a few times to mow my lawn. Now having decided to sell I am putting a new throttle on and changing the oil again put another set of plugs in (which I probably shouldve done before, but didnt get around to it) blades are sharpened, shes greased up, belts are good.

I am not saying this mower is pefect, It has its faults-no kill switches, rust, hour meter doesnt work. However it runs well and cuts grass. Thats what its supposed to do right? the rust looks alot worse in the pics really its only surface. But youre right I agree it sat outside before but not since ive owned it. You may feel the price is high but thats why I asked for opinions. Im new myself and havent ever sold a mower, at the very least this is a great beginner mower if you have the yards to use it.

And finally, the pics as stated before those were taken shortly after I got her running. I want to take her out and get some full shots but its like 20 degrees and was snowing earlier.

I am not the kind to decieve or scam anyone. I read through the thread and it does seem to be fishy but is absolutely not supposed to be. I am trying to be straight up with everyone and anyone is welcome to see it in person.

Thank you

Also as far as the "new cable" im not sure what youre talking about. I assume the throttle cable but it actually isnt new that was the one on it when I bought it. It was rusted and bent to hell at the carb. Which is why its replaced for sale.
