Toro or Scag

I am just starting out and by what others have said i have decided to go with scag or toro. If i get either toro or scag this are the models i am looking at.

Scag SW 15 HP Kawasaki
Toro Floating Deck 13HP Kawasaki T-Bar
Toro Fixed Deck 13 HP Kawaskai T-Bar
Toro Floating Deck with a 15 HP Kohler.

All are 36" belt drive
Which one should i get why?
And please dont say go get a hydro i cant afford it

I have a Toro 15hp Kohler 44" floater. I can't afford to NOT have a hydro. I love the T-bar. Easy to use and to teach a newbie on. Skag pistol pistol grips will give you big wrists.
Test drive em, its your dime.

I demoed a t-bar and it didnt track as well as pistol. I mean with every move of a muscle it sends it off coarse.

How about a T bar on a scag? I have a T bar on my 52 Lesco.

Before I had a 44 Toro. the Toro cuts high or wet grass better.

The Lesco and Scag cut the grass in smaller pieces. My set up

this year is a 52 Toro and a Scag STHM. The Toro will cut up to 5"

The Scag will cut the grass smaller. Together they're a good pair.

Its better to have two different styles makes me more flexible.

I have an SW 36 with the 13 HP Kohler Command on it and it's a nice machine. If it's the only mower you're using and you don't have a sulke/velke, it'll wear you out!

The tracking can be adjusted on the side and I am thinking that the mower may have not been set up right. You can adjust the hydros for the weight of the deck that you have as this power head can run bigger or smaller decks. It takes some practice but not much.
I have a Pro-Slide on mine and it is an awesome machine for a walkbehind/slidebehind. I have tried a bunch of WB's and cant really find the benefit of pistol grips. I can't say that I tried Exmarks or a T-bar on a Scag?
