Hello guys, I am wondering what is the best antigelling treatment you guys like to use in your diesel Equipments/Trucks.???
In my Ford truck,6.0 liter I use some booster liquid made by ford, and I bought some from bobcat last year for my t250, but I run out and I am not going to the big city tommorow, so what can I get from auto zone??

Thank you.

I like Amsoil anti Gel. I used it in red and clear diesel down to 43 below and no gelling and things ran. Being in Ky you could use about anything and be ok. Nothing beats Power Service 911 if you are already gelled or the truck is starting to gel. Most don't work at that stage but 911 does.

We use power service 911 for helping when we are gelled, I also use it to treat our tanks to make sure wew dont gel up again.

I switched to Sea Foam, it's a pain when you first start using it though. I had to replace alot of filter after starting to use it, it was releasing the algea in the 500 gallon storage tank and in the mower tanks, also saw alot less water in the filter. And no fouled injectors and no jelling.

Just to clarify the 911 is not an antigel it just thaws it out when its already froze. To keep it from happening you need the white bottle of power service

At what temperature does diesel fuel start to gel? Or it may be better to ask at what temp do you guys start adding an anti-gel product?

Its hard to go by the book because its hard to say what kind of quallity fuel your getting so I start adding it when our highs are only going to be mid twentys for a few days straight as its not worth the hassle to wait till you have trouble. Todays fuel also seems to wanna seperate and wax up your filters alot easier.
