Few things for those who use this product.

I've been told that you need to spray it once, then come back two weeks later to spray again. How do you stay efficient in routes while doing this? Do you charge extra and about how much for this? Do you spot treat at all with it or all blanket treatments? Little worried about spot treating or even spraying two times within a two week period especially with the higher (i believe 14% N) concentration mix sold by them.

Other question I had was what type of daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance do you have to perform since the product has molasses in it and is pretty thick?

Any other things I should know if I decided to test it out again.

I'm having a tough time figuring out how to put it into a program and keep my routes efficient still.

We use a 7 - 10 day return cycle on a 3 app weed buster program.

Our routes are tight enough to be able to do this without a problem but it sounds like yours are not.

That does add a difficulty factor without a doubt.

We do charge each time and even when the lawn is without any significant weed population our customers now insist on that being the spring and/or fall cycles along with a few apps to fill in spaces.

The molasses in the product needs to be left alone for about 24 hours before cutting and that is only for effectiveness reasons, not for causing problems with the mowing.

Always spray until the weed is wet to achieve best results.

The 14-0-5 is generally used in April and May then we move to the 8-0-5.

Both products can be used for spot treating as long as the lawn is green otherwise you will end up with green spots where you treat.

That is why customers like to get 3 blanket treatments as it does green extremely well along with increasing density to a level their neighbors have a hard time trying to match.

so three apps? i thought it was two spaced about two weeks apart? so basically 3 per month? do this process twice in spring and twice in fall?

what about proper maintenance with spray units?

will using herbicide in tank before the apps reduce effectiveness?

Does the product work as a pre-emerge to prevent crabgrass or does it kill crabgrass once up? Is the above program the same for bermuda/zoysia as well as fescue? Does it kill onions?

This product doesn't have any pre-emergent properties. Green Mark says it will kill crabgrass using the weed buster program (3 apps in 4 weeks).

I had good results with the GG last year. Keep in mind we had a pretty wet summer and the scorching heat stayed away. That meant I could spray later in the June/July months than I normally would. It's tough routing with this product, but I usually mix the GG's in with the chem apps, but I switched to spot treating only with this product last year. I haven't had any issues with green spots, but customers haven't strayed from the other ferts or biological products offered. I mix on the fly, and have separate backpacks for the different weed controls. As far as tank mixing, it shouldn't affect it's efficacy, but people are paying for the Green Guardian for a reason. Do they want chem residue left over (even though probably minimal) on their lawn?

I AGREE WITH THAT
HAVE A CLEAN TANK FOR ORGANIC APPS IS BEST

I should have worded that differently. Left over chem residue.
