Employee incentives

I was wondering what incentives you give your employees, foreman, salesmen, etc. I was planning to go with a $350.00 year end bonus if all maint. employees showed up on time and left the yd on time. Anythng past 5 minutes would be a $5 deduction from that bonus. Any input?

Why would you want to pay them more for what they are supposed to be doing in the first place?

If they can't show up or leave on time then they should find other work if you ask me.

Performance bonuses IE going above and beyoned is one thing but giving someone a bonus for doing what they should be doing????

Most people would just assume be able to do what they wan't and lose the $350.
