I've got a 13hp Kohler, it either needs a new Carb or i need o replace the old one?
1. What is the price diff. in the two choices?
2. What all is mechanically envolved in rebuilding the Carb?
YOur response will be greatly appreciated-

when they are old and sat around in the winter with fuel in them, then are beyond the rebuild ability of a first timer. Frozen needle valves and pitted seats. They are rebuildable but only if you know what to look for. I have rebuilt carbs with seven dollar kits were new carbs have cost me from 49 dollars for domestic on up to 89 dollars for Kaw. 5.5 hp. I imagine 20hp on up is past 100.

Will you be rebuilding the carb? That will make a big difference in pricing. Are you able to replace the carb? I can give you a better idea after your reply.
What is the model and spec number of the engine? I can find an approximate cost of the carb.
