Ask the dealer who does warranty work on engines? When cub cadet had Cats on tractors cat was to do the warranty work. Make sure you have a cat dealer close buy if this is the case!

I have heard that small diesels engines in general get about 30% better fuel economy than comparable gas engines. Only a few (nosparkplugs has one, I believe) people on this site have a cat diesel, though.

I would say 1/2 to 3/4 of a gallon per hour.

Didn't Hustler have problems when they tried using the CAT diesel?

What's the displacement and max rpm's?

1.1 L/3 cylinder
Maximum Torque 70 ft lbs @ 3400 rpm's

Not sure what the rpms are max governed at.

3000 to 3200 is the most likly rpm it will turn 3300 is pushing it 3400 is max and high than 3400 the engine my drop a valve or bend a push rod

Besides diesels don't run off of air they run off of fuel so calculating air flow through the engine will do you no good.
