Hi guys, I remember a previous post asking about a poly reel, I've had this for 7 years and it works great if your by yourself. Here's a few pics:canadaflag:

That would be nice to have!

Does you poly ever rip or break from pulling it due to it being crimped?
we use a bullet and a barbed fitting with hose clamps and or otikers

nah, this is the best way! scrap piece of 18 guage wire to hold the bend. I used to put a plug on the end of the pipe and used a gear clamp, but clamp would be a bit ch to work with after using it once and after a while would break off. Folding the pipe over rarely breaks off, unless you start putting a lot of tension by taking a couple of corners when pulling through clay

I pay around $30.00 for them an they last about a year year and a half, for 30 bucks they are faster then messing around with clamps on hookups and discounting, I do lose the pipe 3-4 times a year but I can always feel it when it comes off, dig 3 paces back and its there.
I will say that if the soil is clay they wont last long, I usaully wrap duct tape around the fingers if im in clay. 98% of my area is all sand.

Lucky you, 98% of our soil is clay, I don't use a clamp, once I fold over 1 foot of pipe, I just tie it down with a strand of 18 guage wire

You could also fold over a longer length of poly, and skip any clamps or tying.

Expensive little suckers. Buy extra shells and O-rings.

nope, i just fold it over a length of chain. i've never lost a pipe that i would not have lost with other connection measures.

and usually if i'm pulling PVC I'll adapt it to poly, add a length of pipe an fold it over the chain. works great
