So before I can buy a duramax I need to have a buyer for my current truck. So I am putting it up for sale.

Its a 1998 GMC 2500 single cab 6.5L diesel, 4x4. It has manual windows, locks and mirrors, sliding rear window and A/C. The truck has only 133,000 miles on it, original engine and transmission, both are strong running and smooth. It is a great work truck and does have a service body on it. The service body has full line-x in the bed, on the step bumper and along the base. It has all the trailer hookups on it, 2" reciever. It has never had a plow on it. I just had some recent maintenance done on it, so it runs fantastic. The oil has been changed every 5000 miles. If anything needed to be done to it, it was done. I would not hesitate to drive the truck across the country.

Before I can finalize the sale of this truck, I do need to have a duramax to buy, which should be within the next 2-3 weeks.

Price is $5500

Wow, I'd sure like to have that truck. Too many other things on the list this year but that's a hell of a price for a sharp looking truck. Good Luck with the sale.

Would you reduce price without the utility bed?

Sorry the truck and utility bed are being sold together, I will not separate.

Paint original?

The paint on the truck is original, the service body was redone when I bought it, so that is newer paint, about 3 years old.

I'd like to still...I went and looked at a truck yesterday and would really like to get it but I've just got to see how much my insurance and all would change.

But yes, I'd still like to get someone lined up to buy it.

Well, you got one, its a super slick truck, I would need to find a regular bed for it if possible, but it looks solid!!! If I sell mine, I would be interested!!

From what I could tell, it is below KBB!

You'd be looking at a 5 hour drive or if you took the ferry across the lake to Muskegon, it'd save you alot of time...considering my town is directly across the lake from Milwaukee. KBB has it valued at $5425 and NADA has it at $6500.

I'm not really in a "rush" to sell my truck. I do think that I found a good truck that I'd like to buy, but I just have to make sure everything plays out how I plan over the next couple days and I might be able to get it...assuming I have a buyer for my truck lined up and a few other things go my way.

It should be really easy to find a new bed to put on this truck. Just make sure you have something "strong" enough to pull off the service body, it weighs about 2000lbs +/-.

It did have a slight coolant leak but that was repaired today, new block heater and it was good to go. Its a good running truck but I just need something that has an ext. or crew cab, since once I put my fire fighting gear in the truck it turns it into a "one-man" cab.
