I am a small LCO down in south texas, and we don't do a lot of fall cleanup, simply because we dont have a lot of hardwoods in our area. That being said, we do have 3 accounts that are under oak and pecan tree cover and they shed a LOT of leaves during the winter. I cannot justify buying a leaf vac (little wonder, Etc) but i would like to use something to ease the pain in the A** those leaves are. Any one have any experience with a stihl SH 86? it's a hand held gas operated shredder vac with a 14:1 ratio for shredding. Would it be worth it for those small jobs?

With any volume of leaves a hand held product will work you more than any pedestrian vacuum will. I'd recommend renting a Billy Goat (sorry, I'm biased). They normally rent for about $100 a day. If you like it, you know it's capabilities. If you don't like it, your only out the cost of the rental.

Too bad your not closer, I'd sell you my Billy Goat yard vac. It is just too small for almost all here in North West PA. Not sure of the total hours on it , but no more than 50.
