Which trimmer?

[Tyler's Lawn Maintenance]

I have the ability to purchase 2 very similar echo trimmers for $125 each. The first, an echo srm-230, is the older model with the grey head and the srm-225, is the newer model with the orange head. Both have minimal use and have been well kept. I am having a hard time deciding, because the 225 is newer, but the 230 has more power. I need you guys to help me decide.

get both & have a back up. A good commercial unit cost upwards of $300 plus.

i use shindaiwa home pro's. Their light and cheap and last for years. Still have my first one and still runs like a champ. $199 new.

If have to choose one, SRM230. The older model is more established and less emission control. It has a 2 ring Tornado engine. If you can get both, go for it.

love my srm 225 plus recetly got the edgit, cant wait to try it out in the spring

Considering the 230 is a drive, i would just get the 225

Well it looks like the 225 is coming my way in the next week, because the 230 is located 75 miles away from me.

I have both but prefer the 230. The 225 is ok but it seems i'm always running out of fuel with the smaller tank.
