Those decks are pretty thick steel with reinforcement pieces welded all over them, how in the world did you bend one? Where is it bent at? IS it bad or just a small dent? it may cause the spindles to run weird and make them wear out very quickly. If you have any pics of the deck, this would help too.

Not sure it's what I am being told. The mower isn't cutting right, it's leaving uneven strips of grass and it looks like sh*te. Dealer says it's because the blades aren't even therefore leaving the uneven strips. I am getting a second opinion tomorrow.

I have been using Exmarks for 15 years and yes you can bend a deck. My deck got bent by hitting a tree stump that stopped the blade. The force of this bent the deck around the spindle mount. The mower never cut right again.

Had a few do the same thing to me. Easy to fix on the older models but a pain in the ass to fix on the newer models !!! But fixable.

All my decks are bent and dented. It's when they get holes that you worry.

If you want to know how to diagnose the problem yourself send me a pm.

i know a company near me and they run over 30 exmark riders and i've talked with their workers a few times and they told me most of their older 60" decks warped or were bent at some point, it can happen

I would hate to think what a replacement 60" deck cost from Exmark!! And I doubt any aftermarket manuf. makes whole decks?!! Anyone know what a replacement deck costs?

I think 1100.00, just the deck not an assemble though.

When I purchased my Scag the dealer had a Scag Wild Cat up on the lift with a totaled deck. Someone had been going full speed and hit a stump or root. They hit it with enough force that the front of the deck bent back into the patch of the blade stopping it and bending the whole deck over all. Scag decks are built as good if not better then Exmarks, so I would say its a safe bet you can bend a Exmark Deck.

If a deck cracks around the spindle housing bolts the blades caused it. Unbalanced blades will take out spindle bearings and can actually cause the deck to crack.

I think 1100.00, just the deck not an assemble though.

Just think of the items on a new deck:

New deck shell
new anti-scalping rollers
new baffles
new spindles
new pulleys
new blade bolts
new blades
new jackshaft assembly
new belts
new grass deflector
new paint
new belt guards

We sell mostly compete decks. The change out is about 30 minutes and everything, including the belts come with the complete deck.

The majority of complete eXmark decks we sell are used as replacements for Toro Z mower decks.

If the baffles under the deck get bent enough to change the quality of cut, go to your dealer and order a new set of baffles. They are available straight from the factory and will make the deck cut like new.

DAMN, I was thinking around $700-$800. for a new deck with no other parts, just the metal deck!!!! If that price is right, then that is ridiculous, and they are gouging us, because steel is not nearly that expensive! It is just steel for gods sake! Yeah, I would just look into another used mower. I kinda question whether that price is with all the spindles and everything else? I always thought the engine and hydros were the most expensive parts on a mower, guess I was wrong?

What do you have keyed blades on the exmark?

Our Lazer had new deck put on it just before we bought it. The guy had the invoice from the dealer, just over $2600.
