View Full Version : Vermeer 620 Woodchipper $5500 (Omaha, NE)

I bought this chipper new in 1993. It has about 1900 hours on a 20 HP magnum Kohler. The intake is 6"x 6". It is in excellent shape. 2 years ago I had it sand blasted and repainted by Nebraska Machinery/CAT and put all new decals on it. Every 2 years I would take it to Vermeer in Lincoln and they would go through it and replace anything that needed it. Last winter I put around $800 into it. In the last 3-4 years it has new coils, starter, I had the engine gone through and all the seals replaced and whatever it needed. It runs extremely well and is probably in the best shape a used chipper can be. There is not a thing wrong with it. I also have an extra set of blades for the machine.

Looks like you have a decent shop/yard set-up? That all yours? I don't do tree work but think maybe after looking at your lil' chipper. I will in your area the 10-11 of april? Are you replacing this machine?

Yes. I did replace the machine at the end of 09. I bought a small bandit chipper.Not all of what you see in the pics is mine. I am not the type to list all I own on this site like others. If you would like to see it in April if you are in town and I still have it you are welcome to.

I have never sold anything on lawnsite before-but everything I have sold on craigslist the first person to look at it bought it. Just send me a message I guess is how it works? Thanks for looking

what size of branch or limb is able to go threw that chipper? Looks to be in awesome shape. Do u have a truck you load it all into or do u make a pile for mulch or does it depend on the job?

The opening is 6" by 6". Thanks it is in real good shape. I have a 08 550 with a 12' bed that I chip into. I have done some jobs where I have wheeled the machine (with a couple guys) into a back yard so we could chip right into a creek eliminating dragging.
