I am looking for a back up mower for the upcoming season. I had seen on craigslist local to me that this guy has a couple of scags ztr's for sale. dont know much about them but the ad stated they have 3300 and 3400 hours for 2800.00 . I know that there is a lot of variables when it comes to buy used, but I want to know what the experienced pros think about buying machines with that kind of hours....

I'm assuming they are gas engine mowers, so for $2800 I would pass them up. That is a high price for mowers that have really high hours on them.

I am assuming they are gas too. I have a call into the guy to get some more info but that is a lot for something with that many hours.

I have a bobcat 60" Z with just over 900hrs. for $3,500 so I would say for the hours that guy is asking a ton!

scags are great...but way to many hours for that price
